Rosenberg was born in Alma-Ata, the former capital of Kazakhstan. After 4 years in the local school of art, he spent 5 additional years studying design at the Alma-Ata College of Theatre and Art, during the course of which he served 2 years in the Soviet military. In 1994 Robert arrived in Israel, at the tail end of the wave of immigration from the former Soviet Union.
He established his Studio in the North of Israel, having found the area full of colors and open spaces that he was accustomed to in his homeland.
His works are mainly of the views of Galilee area and Jerusalem tempered by the boundless enthusiasm he has for the area.
